In Support of Albert Lee Smith: Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama
In this speech, Koop endorsed Alabama Congressman Albert Lee Smith in his unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. Senate, citing Smith's support of religious schools and of voluntary school prayer, as well as his opposition to abortion and homosexuality.
