Abstract:
Koop in this statement qualified his earlier remarks about the role of videogames in fostering violent behavior by pointing out that there was no data to support such a hypothesis. In coming years he encouraged scientific studies designed to yield data on this issue, and continued to explore the connection between popular entertainments, including television and video games, and violence.
