Abstract:
In this brief article, intended to acquaint practicing physicians with several new ganglionic blocking agents, Freis provided an overview of how bretylium tosylate and guanethidine acted to treat hypertension, but due to the dearth of clinical testing on these relatively new drugs, did not provide many details as to their effectiveness.
