Abstract:
Freis retired from full time duties at Georgetown School of Medicine and the Veterans Administration Hospital in 1987, but continued research and writing for many years after. In this commentary, he noted that much hypertension was still uncontrolled, and suggested ways to improve treatment delivery and patient compliance.
