Abstract:
In this article, the Veterans Affairs Cooperative Study Group detailed a rather large double-blind study in which six different antihypertensive agents were evaluated for their effectiveness. In part, they concluded that, among men, age and race played an important role in an antihypertensive agent's effectiveness.. Presented in part at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions, Anaheim, California, November 11, 1991.
