Abstract:
Shapiro chaired the National Bioethics Advisory Commission, and wrote to share some of the group's thinking about human stem cell research, e.g., what categories of work might be okay to fund and some of the other ethical and legal considerations. He enclosed a draft of their "Points to consider in evaluating basic research involving human stem cells."
