Abstract:
Researchers at Szent-Gyorgyi's laboratory always took a break in the late afternoon for tea and informal discussions of the work in progress. (Szent-Gyorgyi can be seen seated against the wall beyond the shelves on the left. Other staff could not be accurately identified.). This image is part of a series of photographs taken for possible use in "Research Center for the Life Sciences" [1954-1956], a publicity brochure for the Marine Biological Laboratory. It appeared in the brochure on page 14.
