Abstract:
Albert is on the left, Pal (Paul) is seated, and younger brother Imre (Ladislaw or Laszlo) is on the right. Albert is wearing his medal of valor, earned for his service as a medic during World War I. Shortly afterwards he carefully shot himself in the arm, was sent back to Budapest on a hospital train, and finished his last year of medical school.. NOTE: The original photograph is damaged over the right side Albert's face.
