The World Health Organization The History of Medicine Division. Prints and Photographs Collection
These posters were designed to advertise the 1977 World Health Day, an annual celebration intended to raise global awareness of a specific concern for the World Health Organization (WHO). World Health Day annually launches long-term advocacy programs by coordinating activities and allocating resources. This image uses a simple positive message of diversity with images of multi-colored "smiley faces" as a background for the directive, "Immunize and protect your child."
