Abstract:
In January 1953, Linus Pauling proposed a three-helix structure for DNA. Franklin found several errors in his reasoning, based on her own research, which are jotted down here. She later wrote to Pauling, explaining why his model was wrong, though she did not succeed in changing his mind.
