This photograph shows Crick delivering the Karl-August-Forster Lecture, entitled "Transfer RNA," at the Physiologisch-Chemisches Institut der Johannes Gutenberg Universitat, Mainz. Crick was a forceful, charismatic lecturer, and used the lecture podium, as much as the published journal, to present his theories and hypotheses for discussion.. NOTE: The original print is scratchy, on a textured paper.
