Abstract:
In this letter to the "Baltimore Sun," Anfinsen responds to the accidental downing of an Iranian passenger plane by the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf. Anfinsen used the incident as a platform to encourage the reduction of U.S. dependence on fossil fuels and to call for an end to the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the Strategic Defense Initiative.
