Distinction: Top 1 percentile (with a score of 99.1% compliance) in a composite of 24 process-of-care quality measures, among more than 2,000 acute-care hospitals--about half of the acute-care hospitals in the U.S.--eligible for the analysis. Timeframe: January through December 2007. See Appendix A for full methodology. This case study describes the strategies and factors that appear to contribute to high adherence to process-of-care, "core" measures at Oklahoma Heart Hospital. It is based on information obtained from interviews with key hospital personnel, publicly available information, and materials provided by the hospital during October 2008 through January 2009.
