Abstract:
Illustration of an actual event that took place in Poitiers. A young girl who had been imprisoned and starved by her family had been discovered by the authorities. The young woman, emaciated and with an ashen complexion, is shown resting in a hospital bed. She stares blankly ahead of her, oblivious to her surroundings. Nuns offer her flowers and a priest holds her hand. Other people are shown watching with concern.
