Postcard - Abstract:
- Postcard featuring a color illustration of two woman sitting on either side of a third woman who is lying in a hospital bed after surgery. The two women are discussing their surgery experiences and ignoring the woman lying in the bed. The woman sitting on the left says, "-Yes- he cut from here to here. It took 243 stitches to sew up the incision. I was under ether for over five hours --." The woman sitting on the right says, "Is that so? Well, when they operated on me the doctor called in the whole hospital staff to see it. He said it was the most unusual case he had ever seen --." There are 2 nurses standing outside the doorway of the hospital room commenting on how the patient has not had any opportunity to talk about her surgery. The nurse on the left says, "Poor Mrs. Dinwiddle. She hasn't had a chance to say two words about her operation." The nurse on the right says, "They've forgotten she's even there!!" On the bottom of the postcars it says, "And you were under the impression that this was your show. They'll do it every time."
