Abstract:
A plump woman wearing a bonnet and an apron sits at a table and holds of bowl on her lap. The bowl is labeled "Ally's Spring Medicine". With the ladle she has been using to stir the contents of the bowl, she hits a man on the nose. The man wears a hat and carries an empty bowl. Caricatures of other people, including an old man in pinafores seated in a high chair and holding his nose as his prepares to eat a spoonful of the medicine, complete the illustration.
