Abstract:
This postcard was issued as part of the Safe sex is hot sex series of posters and postcards, one of the first HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns. It was commissioned by the Red Hot Organization and featured photographs by Bruce Weber and Steven Meisel. It was related to the Red Hot + Dance album, a remix album issued by the Red Hot Organization that focused on young people affected by AIDS. The card features two naked men embracing. They are facing each other. The man on the left has his arm around the other man's waist. The man on the right is holding the other man's head in his hands. The text "Safe sex is hot sex" is in red block letters at the top and bottom of the card.
