Abstract:
This postcard was issued as part of the Safe sex is hot sex series of posters and postcards, one of the first HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns. It was commissioned by the Red Hot Organization and featured photographs by Bruce Weber and Steven Meisel. This card was related to the Red Hot + Dance album, a remix album issued by the Red Hot Organization that focused on young people affected by AIDS. The card features a black and white photograph of two naked women embracing. They are seated with their legs around each other and are about to kiss. The woman on the left has short dark hair and a tattoo on her right shoulder. The woman on the left has short blonde hair. The text "Safe sex is hot sex" is in red block letters at the top and bottom of the card.
