- Abstract:
- Four large squares in two rows of two cover most of the poster. They show a doctor shaking hands with a young boy, the doctor getting the boy's height and weight, the doctor and boy at the eye chart, and the boy with an older boy and a young girl. The captions explain the importance of medical journals in terms of: what illnesses a child has had; immunization records; information regarding vision, hearing, sleep habits, and nutrition; and stressing the fact that everyone is different and should have his/her own medical journal. The right side shows the same young boy in different settings, stressing the importance of his medical journal, noting anything in it that happens at home or at school that is medically related. It also serves as a journal to keep any notes, questions, or concerns the child may have for the doctor at the next visit. All of the characters are done in cartoon style drawing.
