Abstract:
Black poster with yellow and pink lettering. Thirty-nine words describing a diverse segment of society are set in yellow in a column ("Uncle, Alcoholic, Fascist, Virgin, Man, Catholic, ... Niece, Athlete, Priest, Spouse, Teacher, Bisexual"). The letters of the title word "AIDS" are taken from the words in the column and highlighted in pink, so that "AIDS" reads vertically, and the rest of the title, also in pink at the bottom, is set horizontally. The poster was designed by Briana G. Weiner, community design group at SUNY Purchase.
