Abstract:
Side one shows a young couple kissing in the front seat of a car, as seen throught the front windshield. The remainder of the text indicates that car accidents are not the only threat to the lives of teenagers. In recent years, the use of drugs and alcohol among teenagers has brought about an increase in the number of reported cases of AIDS. A phone number is provided for further information. Side two is divided into four "sections", each section representing a page, so it can be folded to look like a book. The "pages" consist of: a letter to parents about the increase in the number of teens with AIDS and how to talk to them about how it is transmitted; a letter to teachers giving statistics on the increase in the number of teens with AIDS, along with how to make them more aware of how it is transmitted; a list of ideas and resources for the classroom; and a page for the students to take a small quiz on facts about AIDS and the answers with explanations.
