Exhibit display at the 1935 annual meeting of the Association of Military Surgeons Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York City, Oct. 1935. Image caption on page 38 of the book US National Library of Medicine: "Despite its structural issues, the "Old Red Brick" offered sufficient space for library staff to arrange numerous exhibitions of collection materials for interested patrons, like this one dating from 1935. The library carried on a tradition of such displays both at the library and elsewhere since at least the 1870s, when the Library of the Surgeon General's Office lent photographs for display at the International Exhibition of 1876. The exhibition depicted here was held in New York City at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, during the annual meeting of the Association of Military Surgeons."
