Interior view of three tiers of stacks from the main floor looking toward the ceiling: on the ground floor are patrons sitting at tables, shelving with journals on one side of a doorway and books on the other side, and a woman is sitting at Robert B. Austin's desk. On the second tier are book stacks, a floor fan, and large portraits hanging from the railing. On the third tier there are book stacks and a table fan. A pole with four light bulbs and reflectors run parallel to the top of the stacks.
