Abstract:
Dr. Donald S. Fredrickson presents the Jimenez-Diaz lecture in Madrid, Spain. The lecture hall has tiered rows of seating with bench-like desk tops and a mechanism for plugging in headsets behind each seat. Some of the audience are wearing headsets, presumably for translation purposes. On the table in the foreground is a pitcher, a clear bottle, a bottle containing water, drinking glasses, four name plates, and a microphone. Previous lecturers in the audience include Jan Waldenstrom, Hans Krebs, and Andre Cournand.
