Abstract:
White poster with burgundy lettering. Title at top of poster. Poster dominated by text explaining the dangers associated with laetrile, a substance derived from apricot and other small fruit pits thought by some to cure cancer. Lengthy text on right side of poster, highlights on left side. Dangers include cyanide poisoning and drug contamination, in addition to delay in seeking conventional cancer treatment. Text is signed by former FDA commissioner Donald Kennedy.
