Abstract:
Half-length, right pose. Verso: Who/111034. USSR-cancer. The USSR against cancer. In a special issue World Health sets out to show how the world's second leading cause of death is being fought. In its fight against cancer, the USSR concentrates on mass examination, treatment and research. All men over 35 and all women over 30 have to be examined in 1963 and the mass campaign, begun in 1948, is being intensified in 1964. Our photo shows Dr. Zubernik, chief physician of the health service at the Moskvich car factories in Moscow.
