Abstract:
A physician is using a stethoscope to listen to the heart of a young boy. Verso: WHO/14871. WPRO. Heart disease. Singapore. Heart disease strikes more and more frequently in all age groups. Its causes may be more or less accidental, or may be the coonsequence of years of accumlated neglect. It is often predictable and avoidable on the one hand, and curable on the other. Treatment may bring about a more or less complete cure or may limit or postpone the ill effects and keep the disease under control for many years.
