USSR-Cancer. The USSR against cancer: In a special issue World Health has set out to show how the world's second leading cause of death is being fought. All men over 35 and all women over 30 have to be examined at least once a year. Twenty million people in the USSR were examined in 1963 and the mass campaign, begun in 1945, is being intensified in 1964. On walls in the Soviet Union posters are fighting the cigarette. Above: " Stop smoking, tobacco is a poison". Below: " That's how you burn up your health".
