Knives include a small hooked knife for child birth, a lance to enter the womb making way for the fetus' cranium, a Mauriceau instrument (tire-tête), a knife to cut the periosteum in amputations, a large knife to make a circular incision in skin and muscles, and a device for the hand's extensor and tendons.
