THE HISTORY OF AIDS: A Selective Bibliography Compiled by Young K. Rhee U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Public Health Service * National Institutes of Health History of Medicine Division * National Library of Medicine Bethesda, Maryland * 1993 This bibliography has been especially prepared for the conference on "AIDS and the Public Debate: Epidemics and Their Unforeseen Consequences" held at the National Institutes of Health on October 28-29, 1993. The conference has been sponsored by the AIDS History Group of the American Association of the History of Medicine. The bibliography includes articles, books, parts of books, conference papers, and a dissertation which deal with the historical aspects of AIDS. The sources of the citations that have been included are the National Library of Medicine's HISTLINE* (History of Medicine Online) and AIDSLINE* databases. These databases in turn drew citations from several other NLM databases. Some of the citations from non-medical sources are not in the NLM collection. Single copies of this bibliography are available without charge by writing to: Chief, History of Medicine Division National Library of Medicine 8600 Rockville Pike Bethesda, Maryland 20894 THE HISTORY OF AIDS: A Selective Bibliography Compiled by Young K.
