Transfers to Invalid Corps.
GENERAL ORDERS 1     HEADQUARTERS, DEPARTMENT OF THE GULF,
      No. 11.       )                      New  Orleans, January 25, 1864.

    The following paragraph of Special Orders No. 11, War Department, Adjutant
General's Office, January 8th, 1864, is republished  for the informatioa of all con-
cerned :

    " All men in the Department of  the Gulf, who are  fit subjects for the Invalid
Corps, will be sent, under  proper escort, to New Orleans, Louisiana, and there be
reported to Colonel Frank  P. Cahill, who is hereby charged with the organization
of the Invalid Corps in that Department."

    Instructions, governing the transfer of men to this  corps,  will be published
hereafter in orders from these Headquarters.
